Emily is the head coach and owner of Chalkline CrossFit. She’s also a walking success story. “I was a late bloomer and didn’t get into fitness until my mid-30s. My own struggle with weight loss is what led me to become a personal trainer.” Roughly seven years later, Emily discovered CrossFit and never looked back. “I jumped in with both feet and have loved every moment of it.”
Emily’s passionate about helping people improve their health while transforming their lives. “So much of fitness and nutrition is a mental game. I listen to what people truly need and develop a successful plan of action.”
Prior to CrossFit, Darrick developed his fitness habits from high school football and wrestling. That latter of which he went on to coach for an impressive 17 years. When a friend introduced him to CrossFit, Darrick found himself outside of his comfort zone. And he loved it! He continued to train and eventually earned his Level 1 certification. Darrick wants to use his knowledge and experience to help others achieve their biggest goals.
Michael has a prestigious athletic background that includes college track and field where he won NCAA’s New England Division III decathlon. He was accustomed to performing workouts that required high proficiency and discipline. “I started doing CrossFit style training at a commercial gym while still on active duty in the Coast Guard. When I retired in 2014, I moved to Southern California and began working out as an athlete at Chalkline.”
When Chalkline was on the lookout for a new coach, Michael threw his hat in the ring. “I decided I needed a new challenge. I attended the CrossFit Level 1 seminar and started coaching in August of 2015.” The rest is fitness history.
